Getting started
What is POMP?
POMP is cloud digital signage software. You manage content in a web dashboard and it plays on Apple TV, Android TV, iPad, Android devices or any web browser.
What hardware do I need?
A screen and one of: an Apple TV, an Android TV box or stick, an iPad, an Android tablet, or any device with a modern web browser. There's no proprietary player box and no on-site server.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. Install the app, type the pairing code it shows into the dashboard and pick a playlist.
Do I need technical skills?
No. The dashboard is built for office managers, teachers and shop owners.
Pricing and the free plan
Is POMP really free?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever with no card required. It includes 1 screen, 1 playlist, 25MB of storage and 3 custom designs.
What's the difference between Free and paid plans?
Paid plans add more screens, playlists and storage, premium integrations (weather, news, calendars, KAMAR, RSS), offline email alerts, and remove the small POMP logo that briefly appears on Free screens.
How much does POMP cost?
Plans start at $19 USD per month. See the pricing page for every plan.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, any time from Billing in the dashboard. Upgrades take effect straight away. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the billing period, then move to Free.
Features
Can I design my own screens?
Yes. The built-in designer lets you place text, images, shapes, a live clock, the date and live weather anywhere on the screen, in landscape or portrait.
Can I import a design as JSON?
Yes. Each design has a JSON tab showing the exact layout the player renders. Paste JSON you've built elsewhere, apply it, and every screen using that design updates.
Can I schedule content?
Yes. Each screen in a playlist can be limited to certain days and times, or to a date range, such as a sale that runs for one week.
Can several screens in one room show the same thing at the same time?
Yes. Turn on Keep screens in sync in a playlist's settings and every screen on that playlist changes slide together, timed from the clock. Screens stay in step through reboots and dropouts, with no extra hardware.
Do screens keep working without internet?
Yes. Media is cached on the device and the last playlist keeps playing until the connection returns.
Can I push an urgent message to every screen?
Yes. Emergency broadcast takes over all your screens with a message for a time you choose, then returns them to their normal playlists.
Can POMP run a café or canteen menu board?
Yes. Add a Menu board screen and enter categories and products with prices, photos and dietary tags. Mark items sold out in a click; screens update at their next check-in.
Can I show a fundraiser's progress?
Yes. Add a Raised fundraiser screen and paste the campaign link. The total, progress bar and supporters update live, and a QR code takes people straight to give.
Can POMP show meeting room availability?
Yes. A room sign shows whether a room is available or in use, until when, and the next bookings, from a Google or iCal calendar.
My TV cuts off the edges of the picture. Can I fix that?
Yes. Set an edge margin for that screen in the dashboard and the whole picture shrinks evenly to fit.
Deployment and IT
Can we deploy POMP to many devices at once?
Yes. Use your MDM's managed app configuration (Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Mosyle and others) to give every Apple TV, iPad or Android device your provision key. Each screen enrols itself into your account, optionally with a playlist already assigned.
Can we use POMP in a kiosk browser?
Yes. Point the browser at the web player link with your provision key. Add temporary=true for kiosks that reset on reboot.
Where is my data stored?
Your content and account live in POMP's cloud. Media is served from a CDN for fast, reliable delivery to every screen.
