World and local news on your screens.

Keep people informed with top headlines. Choose a country and a category and POMP keeps the stories current.

Recorded from the POMP player with sample content

Amazon Fire TV, Samsung and LG apps are coming soon.

How it works

Add a World & Local News screen, choose a country and a category, and POMP shows the current top headlines with their source and how long ago they were published. Stories are fetched on the server and refreshed about every 30 minutes, so screens stay current without anyone curating them.

Headlines are short enough to read from across a room. On newer players the screen shows a lead story large with the next few headlines beside it, then rotates through them while the screen is up.

Run several news screens in one playlist for a mix, such as New Zealand general news followed by world sport, and use scheduling to show business headlines in the morning and entertainment in the afternoon.

World and local news questions

Can I show news from my own website?

Yes. Use the RSS feed screen with your site's feed URL.

How often do headlines change?

POMP fetches the top headlines for each country and category about every 30 minutes, and screens pick up new stories at their next check-in.

Which countries and topics are available?

New Zealand, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Japan, Germany, France, China and South Africa, each with general, business, technology, science, health, sports and entertainment headlines.

Can I choose which stories appear?

You choose the country and category; the stories themselves are the current top headlines from major news outlets. For full control, use an RSS feed from a source you trust.

Which devices show the news screen?

It works on every POMP player: Apple TV, Android TV and Google TV devices, iPad, and any modern web browser at player.pompsignage.com, which covers PCs, kiosks and most smart TVs with a browser. Native apps for Amazon Fire TV, Samsung and LG smart TVs are coming soon.

Which plans include news headlines?

World and local news is a premium integration, included on the Basic, Pro and Advanced plans. It isn't part of the Free plan, so you can try POMP on Free with images, video and designs, then upgrade when you want World and local news on your screens.
